Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, General Anxiety Disorder, Hair Pulling Disorder, (Trichotillamania), Skin Picking Disorder (Dermotillamania), and Body Dysmorphic Disorder But do not spend a whole lot of time trying to figure out if you have a certain disorder or not. How long do people usually stay in therapy?

Therapy length depends on a couple of factors.

  1. The severity of your anxiety.
  2. How hard you work and the effort you put into your treatment. The hope is to give you the skills you can use to manage your anxiety, so that eventually you can manage it independently no matter what your age. However, learning the skills takes time and practice.
